Maryland man reaches plea deal in heinous ordeal

A former Morgan State University student has pled guilty to the murder of a 37-year-old Baltimore man. But, the plea agreement also stipulates that the student is not criminally responsible. The incident grabbed headlines in Maryland and across the country after the student admitted to eating part of the victim's heart and brain.

Upper Marlboro man charged with several felonies

A 25-year-old Upper Marlboro man is being charged with trying to kill another man with his car. According to the Anne Arundel County Police, the two were involved in an ongoing feud over a woman. After an argument one night, one of the men allegedly used his car to pin the other against a building. The incident occurred after 2:00 a.m. outside the My Place Lounge and Bar in Odenton.

Felonies possible for Upper Marlboro couple charged with theft

Upper Marlboro residents are checking their pockets and purses more often these days as reports of thieves spread. A local couple was arrested just this past week after police warned the public that a Bonnie and Clyde team was stealing wallets at local shopping establishments. The couple was found with over $50,000 in merchandise, all suspected to have been purchased with stolen credit cards.

Maryland grandmother charged in child's death

A Maryland woman is being accused of killing her grandson with methadone. According to authorities in Baltimore, the woman poisoned her one-year grandson and his infant sibling by rubbing methadone on their gums. The little boy died; his sister was admitted to the hospital. The woman has allegedly admitted to rubbing methadone on the childrens' gums but her motive in doing so is not clear from news reports. She faces multiple charges including second-degree murder and assault. It is unclear whether the woman has retained an attorney.

Maryland Athlete's Criminal Defense a Success

Terrapin running-back Wes Brown got some good news last week. The stand-out athlete was notified that charges against him for assaulting a police officer were dropped. Prince George's County prosecutors made the decision not to pursue a criminal charge after reviewing evidence in advance of a hearing last week.
