A Hyattsville man was charged this past week with fleeing from police and then trying to hit them with his car. According to reports, the Prince George's County man was spotted driving at a high rate of speed. Shortly thereafter, with Montgomery police in pursuit, the man passed two other officers at the scene of a stabbing. These officers motioned for the man to stop when he allegedly tried to hit them with his SUV.
A 54-year-old Maryland man is facing charges for allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting an 86-year-old woman. According to reports, the woman was waiting at a bus stop in Columbia, Maryland, when the man asked if she needed a ride. The man allegedly drove the woman to a vacant parking lot in a black BMW, and sexually assaulted her for two hours in a nearby woods.
