Being arrested and charged with drug possession or any other type of drug crime can be a devastating development in a person's life. Their entire life must now be focused on defending themselves against these serious charges. Unfortunately, six Prince George's County men have now found themselves in this type of situation. They were the focus of an investigation by local and federal authorities, and as a result are now facing both weapon and drug charges.
According to the US attorney's office, six Prince George's County men have been arrested and now face criminal charges ranging from selling crack cocaine to firearm possession. Authorities state that the arrests resulted from a joint investigation by the Prince George's County police department, the ATF and the DEA.
As part of the operation, more than 150 law enforcement officials served search warrants at different Prince George's County locations. Authorities state that they found more than 300 grams of crack cocaine, as well as five guns and more than 200 rounds of ammunition. Law enforcement representatives also say that they found nearly two kilograms of PCP and nearly $30,000 in cash.
Three of the six men arrested during the operation were brothers. Authorities have charged them with conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute PCP and crack cocaine. One of the brothers has also been charged with possession of a firearm. The other three men face various drug charges and firearm possession charges.
