To say that President Donald Trump's has been busy in first week in office is quite an understatement. In addition to multiple shake-ups among personnel on various levels and within various departments, he has also signed an unprecedented number of executive orders in an effort to start fulfilling his campaign promises. While his actions thus far have been met with relief and joy for some, for others, many of his decisions have left people with anxiety and fear over their own future, and the future of their loved ones.
There are several known classes of aliens, including an inadmissible alien at the time of current immigration laws at the time of entry, anyone who is proven to be in violation of the United States Immigration and Nationality Act or other U.S. laws, anyone who violated his or her nonimmigrant status or condition of entry, anyone still residing with a terminated condition, any alien who aided or encouraged another alien to enter, any alien engaged in fraud or marriage in an effort to enter the country illegally, anyone who falsified documents or failed to properly register for entry or reentry, any alien involved in unlawful voting and any alien engaged in an activity deemed endangering to public safety or national security.
It still remains to be seen what President Trump will do, if anything, with regards to the deportation of aliens in the United States which was one of his many campaign promise.
If you or someone you know is in a situation that may be affected by the president's actions, it might be wise to keep the above list in mind in an effort to protect yourself and your status here in the United States. Breaking one of the above conditions could be grounds for a felony conviction and subsequent deportation.
