In February 2018, former basketball player Glen “Big Baby” Davis was taken into custody by Maryland police. The incident took place on Feb. 7 after the owner of the hotel that he was staying at detected an odor of marijuana coming from his room. The owner eventually called police who did a search of the room after Davis consented to it.
The search yielded $92,164 in cash as well as 126 grams of marijuana. There was also a ledger and small baggies discovered in the room, which led authorities to believe that he was involved in the distribution of a controlled substance. Davis was ultimately charged with both drug possession and distribution, and he has a court date scheduled for April.
